What is the infrastructure of my server and is it complicated to understand?
The infrastructure is what is inside of your server. Things like the power supply, hard drive, and virtual memory would all be considered part of the infrastructure. Being able to monitor this is included by signing up with NEDS. We will deliver your infrastructures information to you with easy-to-understand diagrams and graphs.
Another way the term infrastructure is used is defining your IT system as a whole. On the larger scale, the infrastructure of your IT system is all the servers that go into running your system. For example, the infrastructure of a company may include a web server, email server, database server, and data server.

What if my company doesn’t know anything about servers?
NEDS experienced engineers will install and configure your servers. The way we do things will never be a mystery to you.

What are servers?
Essentially a server is a piece of equipment that servers other computers. There are many different types of servers designed to complete specific tasks. For example, a web server will send website data to computers requesting it. Think of a server as a waiter in a restraint serving food to its customers (the computers).

How much bandwidth is provided?
We provide every dedicated server customer with a minimum of 1Mbps of bandwidth, burstable to 10Mbps. We calculate monthly bandwidth usage at the 95th percentile. If more bandwidth is required, we can certainly provide it.

How do I access my dedicated server?
All dedicated server customers are permitted access to their server via remote applications. We do not allow physical access to the server at any time by the customer. This allows us to keep a controlled environment to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
I've seen "Dedicated Servers" for less than $99/month, Why are NEDS' Servers so much more?
If you see dedicated servers listed for less than $200/month, you should really begin to ask some questions about where the server came from, if it is refurbished (most likely), what components are in it, and what else is lacking to make it so cheap. Typically these kinds of "dedicated servers" are no more powerful than a home PC, much less powerful enough to handle a high end application or web site. Many of the potential customers that we have lost in the past to these $99 "dedicated servers" often return to NEDS after their "dedicated server" fails repeatedly. Unfortunately the old stigma remains: "You get what you pay for."
