Internet Connection

• 10base-T, 100base-T RJ45 switched network connection or 1000baseSX/FX connection.
• Internet connections will be accountable by one of the follow:
• Bandwidth usage using the 95th percentile calculation by actual data transfer averaged on a monthly basis across an Ethernet connection
• Bandwidth limitation from 1Mbps upwards.
  
  

Power

• NEDS provides one single phase 20 Amp duplex outlet for all customers
• As part of the Service Level Agreement, New England Data Services can also provide the customer with the facility to manage online the power (on/off) to the equipment for their use.
  
  

• Physical Security: All servers are located in a secure building with both physical and electronic security including securely sectioned area.
• All visitors must be signed into the facility on each occasion.
• Our Network Operations Center is protected by secure key card entry, and CCTV monitoring and recording.
• NEDS customers are given 24/7/365 Access to the Data Center; however we request a notification before arrival.
  

• The client may have physical access to their server on a 24X7 basis
• We request all appointments for physical access to collocated servers be made within one hour's notice.
• New England Data Services is able to provide the loan of a KVM keyboard, video monitor and mouse for standard SVGA /PS2 client servers.
  
  

• New England Data Services network operating center monitors network connections 24 hours a day.
• New England Data Services operate multiple levels of redundant hardware, minimizing the effect of any single piece of equipment failing or malfunctioning.
